May 2022 Dentist Licensure Examination Results Released in Five (5) Working Days
The Board of Dentistry is composed of Dr. Rodolfo R. Drapete, Officer-In-Charge;
Dr. Melinda L. Garcia, Dr. Carlito D. Paragas, Dr. Gloria M. Bumanlag and Dr. Merlin A. Go, Members.
The results were released in five (5) working days after the last day of examination.
On June 23 - 24 and June 27 - 29, 2022, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

RESCHEDULING THE MAY 2022 DENTISTS LICENSURE EXAMINATION (DLE) PRACTICAL PHASE FROM MAY 8-15, 2022 TO MAY 10 - 17, 2022 AND EXTENDING THE DEADLINE FOR THE FILING OF APPLICATION FOR THE DLE PRACTICAL PHASE
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the public that the May 2022 Dentists Licensure Examinations (DLE) Practical Phase has been rescheduled from May 8-15, 2022 to May 10-17, 2022 to give way for the May 9, 2022 national election.
Likewise, the deadline for filing of applications for the DLE Practical Phase has been extended until April 22,2022 to accommodate those who failed in the previous DLE practical phase prior to the effectivity of Board Resolution No. 02 (s. 2021)

January 2022 Dentist Licensure Examination Results
January 2022 Dentist Licensure Examination Results Released in Six (6) Working Days

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 731 out of 1,660 passed the January 2022 Dentist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Dentistry in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo last January 2022. The results of examination with respect to four (4) examinees were withheld as per Board Resolution No. 03 dated March 17, 2022.
The Board of Dentistry is composed of Dr. Rodolfo R. Drapete, Officer-In-Charge; Dr. Melinda L. Garcia, Dr. Carlito D. Paragas, Dr. Gloria M. Bumanlag and Dr. Merlin A. Go, Members.
The results were released in six (6) working days after the last day of examination.
On April 27 - 29, May 4 – 6 and May 9 – 13, 2022, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the public that the January 6-11, 2022 Practical Phase of the Board Licensure Examination for Dentists (BLED) in the National Capital Region (NCR) has been rescheduled to March 01-04 and 08-11, 2022, while the Theoretical Phase shall proceed as scheduled.
Likewise, both the Practical and Theoretical Phases of the BLED in Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Iloilo shall also proceed as scheduled.
Relative to this, the online application system will be re-opened from January 06, 2022 to January 19, 2022 to accommodate the examinees in the PRC-NCR who registered in the Theoretical Phase but failed to apply in the Practical Phase of the BLED.

RESCHEDULING OF THE NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2021 DENTISTS LICENSURE EXAMINATION TO January 12, 13, & 14, 2022 (WRITTEN PHASE) AND January 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, & 11, 2022 (PRACTICAL PHASE) AND OPENING OF OTHER TESTING CENTERS ASIDE FROM THE PRC-NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION
Upon the recommendation and endorsement of the Council of Deans of the Philippine Association of Dental Colleges, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the public that the November 28, 29, & 30, 2021 and December 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10, 2021 DLE shall be rescheduled to January 12, 13, & 14, 2022 (Written Phase) and January 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, & 11, 2022 (Practical Phase).
Further, the PRC Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Iloilo are designated as additional testing centers in the January 2022 DLE to cater the number of examinees which the PRC-NCR can no longer accommodate due to limitations in the venue, materials, and facilities.

Continuing Professional Development Accreditation System ( CPDAS ) was implemented on October 30 , 2020 with the aim of streamlining all the CPD – related compliance of the Professionals and to efficiently process applications .
In view thereof , Dental Professionals are encouraged to create CPDAS account per specific profession by registering through this link : bit.ly/cpdas_professionalregistration and by providing personal information including the active e – mail address which will serve as the username in accessing the system after successful registration .

Dental Professionals may view all the attended accredited CPD programs through their respective dashboards after successful attendance sheets uploading of the CPD Provider .

UPDATED GUIDELINES FOR THE BOARD LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS FOR DENTISTS
A. CLASS II AMALGAM EXAMINATION 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Note : Phantom Heads are allowed only on a supine position
One ( 1 ) Class II Cavity Preparation ( GVBlack ) on a posterior tooth using typodont model and
One ( 1 ) Class 1 Cavity Preparation ( GVBlack ) on one posterior tooth using typodont model .
Both teeth will remain UNFILLED
B. FIXED PARTIAL DENTURE EXAMINATION 10:00 AM – 12:00 NN
Note : Phantom Heads are allowed only on a supine position
Preparation of two abutments for the reception of a Porcelain - Fused - to - Metal Fixed Partial Denture.
*** Knock down the typodont in between the abutments up to the gingival level .
C. REMOVABLE PARTIAL DENTURE DESIGN EXAMINATION 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
1. Bring your own maxillary and mandibular casts (dental stone ) taken from a live patient with a full complement of teeth (full dentition - fully erupted third molars) . Properly based and trimmed
2. Knock down the missing teeth on the master cast to be indicated before the start of the examination . Round off and smoothen properly the edentulous areas .
3. Using a surveyor , survey the possible abutment teeth . Place tripod marks on the cast .
4. Survey and design a Bilateral One - Piece Casting Removable Partial Denture framework on the Master Cast .
5. Transfer Design on the top answer sheet ( one answer sheet only ) .
6. Make Laboratory Prescription ( Work Authorization ) on the top answer sheet ( one answer sheet only ) .
DAY 2
A. COMPLETE DENTURE EXAMINATION 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Note : The use of a MECHANICAL ARTICULATOR as patient and with the use of a Semi Adjustable Articulator . At the start of the examination, the examinee will be given a set of diagnostic casts and a set of detached master casts.
Diagnostic Casts Determine the proper extent of the trial denture bases and individual trays
Proper blocking - out of the diagnostic casts depending on the anatomy of the denture bearing areas .

UPDATING THE PRACTICAL EXERCISE IN THE PRACTICAL PHASE OF THE LICENSURE EXAMINATION OF DENTISTRY AND PRESCRIBING GUIDELINES THEREFOR
Mounting of Master Casts *** For examinees using a Semi Adjustable Articulator , kindly set the Condylar Guidance angulations to 30 degrees and Bennett Angles to 15 degrees as applicable on the type of SAA being used .
12. Seal adjusted record bases with occlusion rims on the detached master casts .
13. Mount the casts in your own articulator
Setting of the Artificial Teeth
Demonstrate rationale for tooth selection
Determine the need to recontour and modify selected teeth to achieve desired results
Consider functional and biological factors in setting artificial teeth
*** For examinees using a Semi Adjustable Articulator , create a Fully Bilateral Balanced Scheme of Occlusion - Bonus points 10%
14. Proceed to setting of the artificial teeth .
Gingival Wax - up / Festooning
Simulate the natural characteristics of the tissue around the teeth in the wax denture
15. Perform Gingival Wax - up / Festooning .
16. Transfer wax dentures on the Articulator with Mounted Casts representing the patient .
*** Make sure wax dentures are unsealed from the master casts before passing.
Submit the following :
1. Diagnostic casts
2. Individual trays
3. Articulator with pre - mounted master casts
4. The examinees own mounted master casts with the trial wax dentures
